El Joey New Music Video

El Joey  'Exotica'

With a mixture of a pool, girls, cars, motorcycles and friends El Joey's new music video Exotica came about. There's nothing particularly special about the video but overall they definitely make El Joey look like a star and the leader of his entourage. I think it's worth the look especially if your into the song as well.

Birth name José Feliciano Babilonia, only 20-years-old and this early in his singing career he has made a name for himself as a solo artist. He has not worked with many big names, just Jowell from Jowell y Randy but his music speaks for itself. The beats are always good, and his rhymes even better.

That song he worked with Jowell is called 'Donde Nadie Nos Vea'.

But the song that actually got him noticed was 'Sola' from his album 'La Evolucion Musical' in 2010.
Other notable songs in his career all from 2012 are:
  • Me Puedes Llamar
  • Ella Esta Lucia
  • Exotico
  • Playa Y Alcohol
As a bonus also check out his video from his single 'Me Puedes Llamar':

Tito El Bambino And A Salsa Legend

What few people know about Tito El Bambino now a days is that when he first started his career he was only about reggaeton. He was in a duo called Hector Y Tito, which were actually very successful. Eventually, they split up and decided to go solo. Tito is still very active in the music industry, but a whole lot less of his music is reggaeton. Many of his songs have hit radio waves here in Miami, Florida however none are reggaeton. Here are some of Tito El Bambino's commercial songs that have made him even more famous:
  • Dame La Ola
  • Te Pido Perdon
  • Te Comence A Querer
  • El Amor
  • Basta Ya
  • Barquito

An example is this song here he made with salsa legend Marc Anthony. The genre of the song 'Por Que Les Mientes' is merengue, and is very good not only the rhythm but also the lyrics. Both Marc and Tito do a great job with the vocals.

 'Por Que Les Mientes'

His one reggaeton song that has stood out this year is:
  • Damelo

Guelo Star "The Movie Man" Cover and Tracklist

Guelo Star, also known as "La Pelicula Viviente" and "The Movie Man" will release his new album this year. In 2007, him along with J-King & Maximan and Jowell Y Randy decided to work together with the reggaeton producer Elias De Leon of Black Lion Records. The five later became known as "Los Leones".

They are not a group anymore, as of 2008 they stopped working together and not because of them not getting along, but because of bad management. Still, they feature or help produce for each other whenever possible. But as far as ranks, Jowell y Randy are first then J-King & Maximan and Guelo Star are about the same.

Here is The Movie Man tracklist:

01.Quien Mata (Intro)

Jowell Y Randy Working On Their New Album

The third best reggaeton duo Jowell y Randy in my opinion behind Wisin y Yandel and Alexis y Fido are promoting their new album coming soon called "Sobredoxis". Great reggaeton songs, with creative and unique beats are always expected from these two. They both have amazing skills, but mostly Randy which is the one with darker skin does the hook and Randy does the rapping.

Check out this video of Jowell y Randy in Clearwater, Fla, promoting their new album "Sobredoxis":

If you heard towards the end of the video, they mentioned some of the biggest artists in reggaeton that will be in their album. The album will be a part of Wisin y Yandel's record label "WY Records".

This year, Jowell y Randy have been a part of top reggaeton hits:
  • Siente Remix
  • Ragga Dub
  • Sobredoxis
  • Nuestro Combo
  • Party Supremo

Nicky Jam Latest

Nick Rivera Caminero

Artistically known as Nicky Jam, a much respected Puerto Rican reggaeton artist has been in the industry since 1994. He was actually born in Boston, Massachusetts then moved to Puerto Rico later to be with his family. Daddy Yankee was seeing Nicky Jam's success and eventually they met. Since then, they have made some songs together and the rest is history. Daddy Yankee exploded in the scene with his single "Gasolina", and Nicky Jam remained just a a good reggaeton artist, not great.

Recently this year, Nicky Jam and Daddy Yankee partnered again to make a song "El Party Me Llama" for Daddy's new album "Prestige". It's a great track and can definitely get any party going. But the songs they are truly known for as a duo are:
  • Gata Salvaje
  • La Gata
  • Sabanas Blancas
Nicky Jam's latest hits this year are:

La A y La F In Concert

"Los Reyes Del Perreo"

Known to be Wisin y Yandel's rivals, Alexis y Fido are going to be performing in West Palm Beach @ El Palacio Nightclub on Oct. 25. After much success last year with their album "Perreologia", this year they are working on their brand new production called La Esencia.

Today on their official Facebook page, they stated that their first song coming from "La Esencia" will release this Saturday. Here are some good reggaeton songs Alexis y Fido have released this year:
  • Al Acecho
  • Siente Remix
  • Blam Blam Remix
  • Donde Estes Llegare Remix
This year doesn't take away from their long career and list of hits. In 2010, their album "Down To Earth" went gold. This year, their video "Energia" did great and currently has close to 8 million views on YouTube, also their video "Donde Estes Llegare" has 2.5 million views.

"Energia"

"Donde Estes Llegare"

I remember seeing this duo in Atarazana, a nighclub in Miami years ago, and it was an awesome time. Next to Wisin y Yandel as my favorite reggaeton artists, you can say Alexis y Fido is next best in my opinion. Enjoy the show!

Romantic Is A Part Of reggaeton

Reggaeton songs are known to be the life of the party, so reggaton artists thrive on making lasting hits to dance to; through either their own genre or with merengue, salsa, bachata, mambo, cumbia, etc. Many of these artists actually make "nice" music for people to listen to. Similarly at times to rapper and R&B artists getting away from their usual obscene lyrics and making slow jams with nice lyrics.

So lets review this year's best romantic hits:
  • J Alvarez = Como Explicarle
  • LNY = Conmigo
  • Rakim y Ken y = Cuando Te Enamores
  • Tony Dize = Al Limite De La Locura
  • J Alvarez = Si Supieras
  • Tony Lenta = Pensando En Ti
  • Arcangel= Me Prefieres A Mi
  • Arcangel ft Don Omar = Me Prefieres A Mi Remix
  • Wisin y Yandel = Perdon
  • JP El Sinico ft Killatonez = Tiempo Al Tiempo
  • JP El Sinico = Noche Perfecta
The one song of this list that stands out for me is by J Alvarez "Come Explicarle". It came out around Valentines Day but interestingly enough the song is not about being in love is about being heart broken. It's definitely worth the listen, when J Alvarez is known to be a great reggaeton rapper.

J Alvarez Shows Is Versatility In New Song With Carlos Vives

New Song "Volvi A Nacer"

This is a prime example why reggaeton is the favorite genre of many people around the world; Reggaeton artists are known to be as versatile as they come. In this particular song, we have Carlos Vives (with the longer hair above) a cumbia, vallenato artist from colombia doing a duo with a very well known reggaeton artist J Alvarez. The song itself is a vallenato, this genre comes from Colombia.

Reggaeton artists when involved with other music other than reggaeton is usually mambo or also known as merengue electronico. Infact, many times good reggaeton artists get musical awards for doing a great job on a song outside of their genre. For the reason that, reggaeton is known to be underground and rarely does a song make it on the radio but when it comes to mambo, merengue, latin pop, romantic there is more of a chance to have world-wide exposure.

Definitely take a listen, and see how J Alvarez integrates himself in the song and later changes his usual rapping ways to more of a singing tone.
